Line Items

Think of a campaign as the overall container, and line items as the detailed instructions inside it telling the platform how to serve your ads. 

Line Items are the core building blocks of your Sponsored Products campaigns. They define the specific details of your ad, including the products you want to promote, the targeting criteria (such as keywords), your bidding strategy, and the optimization model. 

Each line item represents a separate ad group within your campaign, allowing you to manage and optimize your ads more effectively to achieve your specific campaign goals.  

In this guide, we’ll walk you through the steps to create your line items, from defining flight dates, setting keywords, selecting products, to choosing the right optimization options. 

How to access Line Item creation?

There are two ways to start creating a Line Item: 

  1. For adding more line items to an existing campaign, follow these steps, and then the Line Item creation steps below.

    • Go to Campaigns in the top menu and click on the campaign name. 

    • Click +Line Item to create a new one. 

  1. Once your campaign is created, you’ll be taken directly to the line item setup page. To create line items for a new campaign, follow these steps:
