What are Audiences?

Audiences are groups of people you want to show your ads to. They can be a group of shoppers who you want to target based on:

  • What did they search for?

  • What did they browse?

  • How was their previous shopping behavior?

  • If they’re part of a customer list you already have?

You can create and manage these audiences with an easy-to-use tool available on your dashboard called the Audience Builder.

Once an audience is created, it can be used across all your Onsite Display campaigns.

Where to find your Audiences?

To manage or create an audience:

  1. On the top navigation bar, click on Shared Library.

  1. Select Audiences and Segments from the dropdown.

This is your Audience Library, where you’ll see all your existing audiences and create new ones.

What is in the Audience Library?

The Audience Library is your central place to view, manage, and create audiences for your Onsite Display campaigns.

Think of it as your collection of shopper groups that you’ve either created or used before. These audiences are built based on real shopper behavior or contact lists, enabling you to target the right people with the right message.

Each row in your library gives you a snapshot of an existing audience, with helpful details like:

  1. Name: The label or title you gave the audience when you created it. Choose clear names to make it easier to manage later.

  1. Linked Line Items: Number of line items targeting the audience list.

  1. Size: Total number of unique users in the list.

  1. Retailer: Tells you which retailer the audience is linked to.

  1. Last Updated: Shows when the audience was last edited, so you can keep track of recent changes.

  1. Created By: Lets you know which team member created the audience, useful for collaboration.

How to create a New Audience?

You can build your audience based on real-time shopping behavior, which is referred to as Events Segments or upload your own customer data to reach specific groups, which is called Contact List Segments.

You can either create these segments separately and target in the campaign, or you can build Custom Audiences by adding both type of segments and applying different conditions as explained below.

Please refer to our guide on Build an Audience for step-by-step instructions on how to create an Audience.
